Cookie Policy
Last updated: May 16, 2026
This policy explains the cookies, local-storage items, and similar technologies SlotAgent uses when you visit our website or use our platform — what they are, why we use them, and how you can control them. It supplements our Privacy Policy.
1. What is a cookie?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by a website. They are widely used to make websites work, to remember your preferences, and to give website owners information about how people use their site. We also use local storage and session storage — browser-based storage mechanisms that are not transmitted with every request (unlike cookies) but serve similar preference and session-management purposes.
2. Essential cookies & storage
These are strictly necessary for the platform to function or for features you have explicitly requested. We do not require consent to set these, although you may disable them in your browser (which will likely break core functionality).
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Expiry | Category |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Supabase auth cookies (sb-*) | Supabase | Maintains your authenticated session so you stay logged in across page loads. | Session / 1 week | Essential |
| sidebar:state | SlotAgent | Remembers whether the dashboard sidebar is open or collapsed. | 7 days | Functional |
| slotagent-theme (localStorage) | SlotAgent | Stores your UI theme preference (dark / light). | Persistent | Functional |
| i18n language (localStorage) | SlotAgent | Remembers the language you selected for the interface. | Persistent | Functional |
| sa_cookie_consent (localStorage) | SlotAgent | Records your cookie consent choice so the banner does not re-appear. | Persistent | Functional |
| Payment method banner (localStorage) | SlotAgent | Remembers that you dismissed the add-payment-method prompt. | Persistent | Functional |
3. Analytics & marketing cookies
We use Google Tag Manager (GTM) to load analytics scripts that help us understand how visitors interact with our website. These cookies are only loaded after you give your explicit consent via the cookie banner on your first visit. If you choose "Essential only," these cookies will not be set.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Expiry | Category |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| _ga, _gid, _gat (and similar) | Google Analytics / GTM | Distinguish users and throttle requests to understand how visitors interact with the site. Only loaded after you give consent. | Up to 2 years | Analytics |
| Google Tag Manager containers | Loads and manages third-party tags (analytics, advertising) as configured by SlotAgent. | Session / varies by tag | Analytics |
4. Third-party cookies
Certain features use third-party services that may set their own cookies or tokens. These are described below and are governed by each provider's own privacy policy.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Expiry | Category |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Cloudflare Turnstile tokens | Cloudflare | Invisible bot-protection challenge used on specific actions (e.g. AI widget sign-in). Sets a short-lived verification cookie/token. | Session | Essential |

5. Managing your preferences
Cookie banner. On your first visit, a banner gives you the choice to accept all cookies or use essential cookies only. Your choice is saved in your browser's local storage under the key sa_cookie_consent. You can change your mind at any time by clearing this key (see your browser's developer tools → Application → Local Storage) and reloading the page.
Browser settings. Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies. The exact process varies; consult your browser's help pages. Note that blocking essential cookies (such as authentication cookies) will prevent you from signing in.
Google Analytics opt-out. You can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on to prevent Google Analytics from collecting data about your visits.
6. Updates to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy when we add or remove technologies. The "Last updated" date at the top will change, and material changes will be communicated as described in our Privacy Policy.
7. Contact
For cookie-related questions, use the same contact method described in the Contact section of our Privacy Policy.
